Palm Centro running webOS

With the Palm Pre planned for a secret release date in the “first half of 2009”, my eagerness to get the latest Treo-like phone has been at times too much to contain.  I obsessively check precentral.net for updates and hints to its release date and will undoubtedly be of the first to pick one up when the mysterious release finally arrives.  To feed my fix while I wait though, an application named TealOS was developed for older Palm phones, and after installing on my Centro gives a great (fake) representation of what the new webOS platform will do.  It is not nearly identical but is a great “good enough” app to give me the fix I need while I wait.  Let’s just hope the Palm Pre is not as much a let down as the HTC Diamond.
