Learn to Walk on The Ocean

This has been one of my favorite guitar songs for years (I think I first heard this at Herzl, but can’t recall if it was as a camper in ’95 or an Ozo in ’98).  Its a great sounding tune by Toad the Wet Sprocket, which sounds even more incredible when played slowly with a good acoustic rendition.

I’ve gone through multiple versions of tabs and chords online to figure out the best way to play this over the years, but for some reason it is MUCH harder in person than it sounds like it should be (if you don’t believe me, try learning on your own without the video above).  I think part of that reason is that if you don’t hit the variations of the chords just perfectly, it makes it difficult to sing the right pitch of the song as well.  However, thanks to a recent find on YouTube, there is a great tutorial that finally made it easier.

Can’t wait to get home and try it out, the song really deserves more credit than it normally gets.  Enjoy!
