You are all amazing, and these photos are a dream come true. Seeing you with your books on your social media streams is such an honor. Thank you for being a part of this adventure and helping to share my story! If you have your copy and haven’t taken a “Neiman Face” photo yet, now’s the time! If you haven’t picked it up yet, now is ALSO the time. Share the love on your socials and mention me. Let’s make Hello My Name is Sharkbait the first book everyone checks off on their 2026 reading list. And to do that, I have another ask, one as natural as a Noah Wyle medical drama sweeping Hollywood award ceremonies. Recommend the book to someone!
Good books come up in conversation all the time. And if they don’t for you, well, try to find a way anyway! Read any good books lately? What did you do over the holidays? Any fun New Year’s resolutions? Heck, “Well, actually, I just picked up this great book. You should check it out,” just rolls off the tongue when answering any of those. I won’t beg too much (too late), but if everyone can share the recommendation with at least one person, I think we can reach an exposure critical-mass-tipping-point. Ok fine, I’m overly-optimistic as usual, but it’s not that crazy. In fact, something even crazier happened just last weekend.
I have been making the rounds at my local CT/NY bookstores to build relationships, coordinate potential events, and shmooze to get copies on their shelves. Books on the Common, Katonah Reading Room, Bedford Books, etc. When I stopped by Westport Book Shop (a used bookstore that hosts author events in the spring), I was shocked to hear them say, “Oh, that Sharkbait book? Someone just emailed us about that and we were planning to reach out.”
Umm … what?
I’m not expecting NYT Bestseller status… but to walk into a store and already be on their radar? Ok, now that was freaking cool. So, whatever we’re doing, it’s starting to work. And I need your help to keep that momentum going. Tell your friends, tell your parents, tell your friends’ parents, tell your parents’ friends, tell your father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate. If everyone reading this can convince just one more person to give Sharkbait a try, maybe… just maybe… you never know.
Hello Neiman!
